FOR RENT – WHISTLER BC CANADA TIMESHARE/CONDO One Timeshare week for rent in Village Gate House unit-310 in Whistler Village, 5 minute walk from chair lifts for both Blackhomb Mountain and Whistler Mountain. Whistler, British Columbia, Canada is considered by many to be the #1 ski resort in North America. Dates for Unit-310 17-February to 24-February 2012 (no partial week rentals) . (Check-in after 16:00 17-Feb and Check out NO LATER than 10:00AM 24-Feb). Unit Description The unit is a Studio with a Loft, and it is large enough to comfortably “sleep” 2 couples (or one couple with 2 children). In the loft are two single beds (that can be pushed together to form one king-sized bed), and in the Studio is a sofa bed, that is the size of a double bed. The unit has a living room with a (gas) fireplace, stereo, VCR, TV, etc …. The fully equipped kitchen is a reasonable size, and it is fitted with an assortment of appliances for those who like to cook their own food (although Whistler has many terrific restaurants). In the unit is one bathroom with a bathtub. The unit is in the Whistler Village Center, so it is right by (seconds away from) the night life,restaurants, shops, etc …Reservation Details: Payment must be made at auction close. Once payment is made and I am given name address and home phone, I will confirm the reservation in the renter’s name. You, and the resort front desk will receive an email guest confirmation. Highspeed Wired Internet Connection Each unit has free highspeed wired connection to the Internet for one’s laptop/notebook. In 2009 when we visited there was free overseas phone calls, and it is possible this feature is present in 2012 (TBC) but that is not guaranteed. Whistler Location Whistler BC is a 2.5 hour auto drive from Vancouver Airport. There is also bus transportation available in Vancouver Airport direct to Whistler. Transportation to/from Whistler is NOT included in this bid. We can provide information on the commercial transportation upon request. The unit is in the Village, but the unit key must be picked up at Whistler Creekside (TPI Office) which is easier to do if one has a car. There is no maid service during the stay. A maid cleans the place every Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm, which is why check in is at 4:00pm on Friday, (after the maid has cleaned) and why check out must be before 10:00am on Friday. Warning – If one is late in checkout, (or desires a late checkout) the additional fee to TPI is quite large (~$100). Also, if one wishes a maid to visit and clean the unit (mid-week or so), one has to pay TPI something like $60 US. I am not 100% sure on that amount. This is a non-smoking unit and the penalty fee for those violating this rule is very large (~$500). There is a storage room on the main level for skies and poles. Ski locks (for the storage room) are provided for free and they can also be used to lock one’s skis on the mountain (but note a deposit to TPI rentals is required for the use of the locks, with the deposit returned when the locks are returned). There is an elevator to the 3rd floor, where the unit is located. The unit has a balcony. There is free provided underground parking under the Holiday Inn across the street (one parking spot ONLY is provided).
